READ WHAT BUHARI SAID TO OSINBANJO AFTER HIS ARRIVAL AT THE PRESIDENTIAL VILLA
President Muhammadu Buhari has
returned to Nigeria after about 50 days medical leave in London. Immediately after
his flight landed in Kaduna airport at about 4:30 am this morning, the
president boarded a chopper to Abuja.
Shortly after his arrival, he met
with top government officials at the first lady conference room of the
presidential villa in Abuja. Among those present at the meeting were: Abba
Kyari, chief of staff to the president; Babagana Monguno, national security
adviser; Lawal Daura, director-general of the Department of State Services
(DSS) and Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman.
President Buhari reportedly
appreciated all those who prayed for him during his time in London and asked
for more prayers in order that he may recover fully.
The president acknowledged that he
was feeling quite better but still needed some rest. For this reason, he is in
no hurry to resume his duties as president.
Thus, President Muhammadu Buhari
asked Vice-president Yemi Osinbanjo to continue in acting capacity until he
recovers fully.
