TUFACE DID NOT ORGANIZE PROTEST

TuFace Idibia.

Contrary to what the media has reported and what many people think, famous Nigerian musician TuFace Idibia, did not convene the intended February 6^th protest which was supposed to ensue today.

The Nigerian music star, who was only used as an agent to ensure that the protest gains popular support, announced his withdrawal from the protest on Saturday 4^th February, 2017 via a video owing to security concern.

He might have really meant well for Nigeria and many were ready to stand with him but security operatives were bent on sabotaging the protest. Of course, you should know that anytime security operatives in Nigeria interfere with a peaceful protest, innocent citizens lose their lives.

It is in view of this that the Nigerian star felt it prudent to withdraw from the protest.

TuFace’s withdrawal seems to have impeded the protest owing to his influence on the Nigerian populace. He has since received insults from people for chickening out and some have even said that he was arrested and threatened by the DSS.

While we cannot confirm whether or not he was arrested by the DSS, we can confirm that the protest is believed to have been staged by OneVoiceNigeria group.

The implication of this is that the protest can still continue without TuFace. Thus, for those willing to go on with the protest, you can do so. Don’t condemn TuFace if you have chickened out too.
