INVITE GOODLUCK JONATHAN FOR QUESTIONING- NORTHERN CLERICS

Some Northern clerics have urged security agencies to invite Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the immediate past president of Nigeria, for questioning which seems about to be a recent strategy adopted by them to bite their rivals.

The clerics are believed to have said this owing to a statement made by Jonathan last week in a meeting with the United States Congress on the religious crisis in the Northern part of the country.

The Northern clerics have condemned statements made by Jonathan which they described as reckless and unpatriotic owing to the fact that Jonathan’s interaction with the US Congress led the Congress to conclude that Nigeria is the worst place for Christians to live in.

The National Chairman of the Middle Belt Patriotic Front, Musa Fomson, believes that Jonathan has hidden intentions thus his invitation and interrogation will enable security agencies unravel those intentions.

According to Fomson:

“It was the mindlessness of his administration that amplified the schism to a point where persons that were once neutral learnt to hate adherents of other faiths.

“It was Goodluck Jonathan that made religion and ethnicity into campaign issues in order to cover the incompetence of his rule in the quest for re-election.”

Apart from saying nothing relevant, the Northern cleric blamed Jonathan for the hardship faced by many Nigerians in the country.
