BOKO HARAM HITS UNIVERSITY OF MAIDUGURI AGAIN
Barely two (2) weeks after an
attack on University of Maiduguri which claimed no less than five lives
including that of a Professor, Aliyu Mani, and left many others injured, the
Islamic sect, Boko Haram, has replicated a similar attack through a male
suicide bomber.
This time around however, the
explosion occurred around a mosque opposite the University in the early hours
of Tuesday, January 31st, 2017, just about the time Muslims have
their early morning prayers.
Reports say that a male suicide
bomber had entered the mosque located in Dalori quarters opposite the
university where he detonated the improvised explosive device while the congregation
observed their prayers.
The explosion certainly claimed
lives. But while Sahara Reporters have placed the casualty count at 3 so far,
the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has been unable to determine
the number of deaths.
