SOLDIERS FROM SENEGAL MARCH INTO GAMBIA AFTER BARROW’S SWEARING IN

According to BBC, Senegalese troops
stormed the Gambian territory in protection of the just sworn-in Adama Barrow
as the president of the country.
Meanwhile, the African Union and
the ECOWAS have mobilized to force Jammeh out of office in the face of
heightened tension.

The BBC has also reported that
Barrow has called on soldiers of the country to show their loyalty to him to
ensure a peaceful transition of power.
The Gambian Navy has so far
responded. However, this is just an arm of the entire army.
