SECURITY OPERATIVES SHOOT UNARMED BIAFRANS CELEBRATING TRUMP’S INAUGURATION
At least eleven (11) people have
been shot dead by security operatives at Igwuocha area in Port-Harcourt, Rivers
State, Nigeria.
The deceased persons are believed
to be Pro-Biafrans who had taken to the streets in Port-Harcourt to march in
solidarity to Trump whose inauguration as the 45th President of the
US is today the 20th of January, 2017.
According to reports, security
operatives had stormed the area while the people were peacefully performing
their solidarity march for Donald Trump, opening fire on the unarmed crowd that
danced, cheered and waved non-Nigerian flags in the air.
According to Emma Powerful, the
publicity secretary of the Independent People of Biafra, the attack on the Biafrans
was carried out by the police, the army and the Department of State Services.
The attack has left no fewer than
eleven Biafrans dead and many injured with bullet wounds.
This is coming just days after a
Nigerian fighter jet misfired and killed about 100 persons at a refugee camp in Borno State.
The menace caused by security
operatives in Nigeria must be tackled sooner rather than later.
