OSINBANJO TO BECOME ACTING PRESIDENT AS PRESIDENT BUHARI TAKES ONE WEEK VACATION

The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, via a letter addressed to the Senate, has asked for a ten day working leave which will begin on Monday January 23rd to Monday February 6, 2017.

Senate president, Bukola Saraki read the letter from the president to the lawmakers during the plenary session of the house on Thursday January 19, 2017.

The transmission of the president’s letter to the Senate is in compliance with Section 145(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, during the president’s leave, Vice president Yemi Osinbanjo will act as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
