INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE LEADS DELEGATION TO VISIT BUHARI IN LONDON HOSPITAL

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Kputom Idris on Tuesday the 24th of January, 2017 assembled and led top ranking officers of the Nigerian Police Force to visit President Buhari in London as speculations about the president’s death continue to spread.

Although the presidency has steadfastly insisted that the president is on a leisure leave rather than a medical one, it now appears that President Buhari has critical health issues for which he is receiving medical treatment in a London Hospital.

The IGP was accompanied by DIG in charge of Finance and Administration Mr. Shuaibu Gambo; Commissioner of Police in charge of Monitoring Unit, CP Umar Garba, and other top ranking police officers.

The officials who left the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport early Tuesday morning appeared to be heading to the UK to see the president but other than that, they have not really disclosed the true reason for their impromptu visit.

I wonder why the Presidency thinks everything must be shrouded in secrecy. If the president is not feeling well, Nigerians have the right to know.
