ISLAMIC INSURGENTS’ ROADSIDE BOMB KILLS FOUR SOLDIERS AND INJURES OTHERS
At least 4 soldiers have been
killed and 5 wounded on Tuesday 24th January, 2017 when a roadside
bomb planted by Islamic insurgents exploded outside a military camp.
The blast which was at Afgoye in
Mogadishu, took place a day after the Al Shabaab group carried out a raid in
the same town that had been repulsed by government troops.
Terrorist group, Al Shabaab, which
has been waging war across Somalia, claimed responsibility for the bombing.
According to Sheikh Abdiasis Abu
Musab, the group’s military operations spokesman, “We planted the bomb last
night. At least seven soldiers died.”
