IS BUHARI REALLY DEAD?
The president of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, via a letter addressed to the Senate,
asked for a ten day working leave which will begin on Monday January 23rd
to Monday February 6, 2017.
The Nigerian President who did not
disclose the true reason behind his vacation was reported to have died over the
weekend in a London Hospital while on medical care.

Apparently, there is now no
conjecture that the Nigerian President took a vacation in order to attend to
his health issues and has taken refuge in the UK where he has been receiving
treatment in a London hospital.
However, word spread over the
weekend that Buhari has died in the London hospital where he had been receiving
medical care. The Nigerian Mission in the UK has confirmed this as true and has
since expressed shock over the President’s demise.
Notwithstanding claims by foreign
as well as local media that the Nigerian President has departed from the land
of the living, the Presidency last night on Sunday the 22nd of January,
2017, refuted claims that the President Buhari is dead.
According to the Presidency through
Mr. Femi Adesina and Mallam Garba Shehu, the Special Adviser and Senior Special
Assistant to the Presidency respectively, the Nigerian President is still very
well and alive.
Mr. Femi Adesina discarded
speculations of the President’s demise. “As for those who carry evil rumours,
may they receive grace to repent,” he had said yesterday.
As of today, we are not sure
whether or not to believe the Presidency because it won’t be the first time
that the Presidency will claim that a dead President is alive. We don’t also
know whether or not to believe the media because there are so many false claims
that have gone viral in times past.
